I have to say thank you. This was my first big project fixing anything as complicated. Every detail was spot on. It took a little over 10 hours to complete. I went ahead and changed the universals in both axles while I was there.

Kudos, very well written to say the least, and the added description notes in the some of the images showing exaclty which parts that are being referred is a bonus to those of us like me who learn better by visual aid oppose to the dreaded 'white paper'. Will be coming back to check out any other 'repair' procedures you may post.

You probably are getting used to this by looking at other posts, but this was absolutely the best self help article I have found on the internet and you have done a great job! Picture quality and thorough explaination made this unpleasant job sort of fun and saved a ton of money in the process. Luckily I have a friend who loaned me the factory seal installer and ball joint press, but I have no doubt your "special tools" would have worked just as well. Thanks again!
