Thank you for the great information. It is always nice to get an idea of how others perform their tasks. I am a Heavy diesel truck mechanic, but was asked to work on my father in laws truck, which is a lot different than semis. Anyway thanks again and keep up the good work!!!

I bought my first PSD 2yrs ago-->01 7.3L 4x4 CC. I just got lucky and come across the url to your superduty.com. I placed your site on top of my favorites. Your site has given me the information and knowledge to do small mods and important fixs,that has saved me from having expensive repairs in the future. Thank You so very much for taking the time to create and update this site. I never really post like this to say thanks, but you Sir deserve a big Thank You. When I bought my 7.3L,she had 258K miles on her. The company said they just couldn't keep it running...They just wanted her out of their yard. They sold me the 7.3L for $2,500. After spending many hours here, and replacing all the sensors and a handfull of other small parts. The 7.3L has been a very reliable daily driver and she even pulls my 32ft 5th wheel with never a problem. Thanks Again.

Great writeup with step by step instructions and great pictures.

Another writeup I seen told us to take the axle and seal to the dealer and have them install.Your tool worked perfect and I will add it to my collection of SOV tools.

I appreciate the time you took to write this and post it online. I know these things take a lot of time but you have saved a lot of people time and $$.

My hat goes off to you!

Great post of how to replace the ball joints. Everything was spot on just as you described it and thanks for the pictures. The OEM upper balljoints now come with a zert fitting. Not quite sure how to get a grease gun on them past the U-joint but I'll worry about that in a few thousand miles. Again thanks so much for the post.

Thank you so much! This made changing the hub & seals so much easier. Especially when my boyfriend was at his wits end trying to figure it out! Once I found this I was able to tell him exactly what he needed to do. The pictures were my back-up, so after his initial hesitation he quit doubting me...LOL! That home-made tool made life so much easier also. Didn't bring the materials list with me when I ran into the hardware store, but after reading through this & seeing that picture so many times I was able to reproduce it much to his surprise & delight. (He was still trying to be thick-headed thinking he could do it without it!) Thanks again! You save a lot of headache & relationship stress! I'd say you deserve a whole case, not just a beer!

Great job! Thank you for your write up! made it so easy! Hardest part was washing the grime off my hands! Wish my truck was as rust free as yours! Very creative with the axle seal tool!
